Overview: The objective of the Technical Writer is to produce and maintain all IT related documentation including all Production, Development, Security and Quality Assurance documents. Documentation may include support documentation as well as policies, procedures, processes, metrics, etc. In addition, this position acts as the IT liaison with audit regarding documentation requests.

JOB FUNCTIONS
• Produce and maintain all IT related documentation, including but not limited to:
• Policies, Procedures and Processes
• Hardware Configurations, Software Configurations and Application Overviews
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan
• Training Guides, Knowledgebase, FAQs
• Confer with developers, system analysts, business analysts and users to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

• Create and maintain a Service Catalog
• Participate in all IT meetings to understand changes, projects, etc.
• Implement a Data Retention Policy according to industry best practices and aligns with college needs

• Assist the PMO in documenting the steps to initiate a project and review the methodology.
