DISTRICT MANAGER -Long Island

Principal Accountabilities: DISTRICT MANAGER -Long Island

Responsible for achieving optimum financial results for the district by maximizing top-line sales potential and ensuring superior service to our customers.

Manages the overall merchandising, operations, sales plans and objectives, training and employee development of all employees within the District.
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and evaluates performance of store management to meet district and company needs. Maintains a constant core of promotable people to fuel retail strategic growth objectives
Develops and maintains positive, ongoing relationships with mall management and the Corporate community to maximize business opportunities.
Conducts scheduled and unscheduled store visits to ensure standards of the company are met.
Communicates regularly in writing, and through meetings, the district’s strategy, mission, focus and goals. Builds team spirit and morale by actively seeking and publishing innovative ideas to improve sales, store operations, training and employee morale. Actively and routinely recognizes and rewards good performance at all employee levels in the District.
Performs other duties as directed by the Regional Manager and the Corporate offices.

Job Specifications:
3 - 5 years of previous multi-location management experience within a retail environment
Demonstrated ability to grow sales and drive change
Recruitment and retention of top talent
On-going training & employee development
Creating positive work environments for employees
Strong customer service skills
Willingness to travel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial acumen
