Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have worked in managing Accounts Payable staff and taking ownership of all daily A/P and G/L duties and has reported to a senior level professional.
Responsibilities::
Manages the Accounts Payable function.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
• Supervise AP Assistants
• Direct invoices processing and verification, expense coding, and drafting of payment checks
• Supply regular reports as needed to management
• Manage systems and procedures for invoice processing and entry into the accounting system
• Review accuracy and completeness before posting payables to the General Ledger
• Suggest improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit
Job Requirements:
• 4-6 years experience in accounting / finance is required, with 2 years supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, or relevant experience.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with BlueCherry & Solomon a plus.
