Senior Programmer/Analyst

Synergy-One has been retained by a growing insurance driven firm to find a Senior Programmer/Analyst with excellent SQL Server expertise to help architect and deploy new web based technologies.
The Senior Programmer/Analyst primary responsibility will be 1. Developing moderate to complex coding constructs for our new internal/external web application, 2. Migration from a production MS ACCESS environment to SQL server.
The Senior Programmer/Analyst will develop web applications which will allow sales, marketing, customer service and operations assist and support outside agents and business partners. These web based applications will be entirely architected and deployed by the Senior Programmer/Analyst. Technologies selected will be up to the Senior Programmer/Analyst.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 4 – 6 years of web development experience, implement and deploy SQL server, be able to work individually, and must be capable of learning companies business process quickly on own. They should be able to communicate well with management and support staff. Also, the candidate should be considered a positive professional influence to the company.
Summary of qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience with SQL Server
• 6+ years experience with RDBMS systems that support web-based applications
• 6+ years of experience with MS-SQL writing stored procedures and database schema design
• 10+ years of developing and programming Access Databases
• 8+ years of experience of HTML, DHTML, ASP and JavaScript.
• Experience developing and maintaining websites using development languages such as VB.net and C#.
• Expertise in developing websites in classic ASP and ASP.net.
• Experience with developing online forms using JavaScript and ASP.
• Microsoft Certifications such as MCSD and or MCDBA will be a plus
• 4 year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent work experience
Experience and Aptitude:
• Full SDLC experience using technologies such as ASP, ASP .Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, XML, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server – TSQL, Web Services.
• Develop and support database systems for a variety of software applications and systems that use various technologies including Microsoft .NET and MS-SQL Server
• Quickly learn business and manage end-user expectations and effectively manage time, resources, and deadlines
• Database performance tuning, configuration, optimization, installation of DBMS servers, test environments
• Drive quality into the company culture by contributing to internal initiatives
• Perform full life cycle applications development, enhancement, and maintenance assignments
• Participate and lead various lifecycle stages including requirements gathering; architecture specifications & design; application configuration; database design; programming; quality assurance; testing and implementation; and ongoing maintenance and support
