Systems Analyst
Description:
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for ongoing support of electronic medical record/claim templates/documents using NextGen proprietary software. NextGen experience required. The Systems Analyst supports enterprise-wide project plans and application support within the information technology department. Serves as the primary resource to implement project plans addressing goals, deadlines, testing implementation and post-live support of complex software applications associated with support of our medical records and claims. Maintains system/application problem analysis and resolution techniques. Implements, maintains, and troubleshoots system interfaces (HL7). Analyzes and resolves system/application problems quickly and efficiently. Performs investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine project feasibility. Assists in developing project cost and benefit estimates to establish project worth including development of alternatives leading to recommendations for new systems or systems changes. Generates and analyzes documents, charts and/or diagrams of business problems to be programmed or addresses via systems acquisitions. Assists in the development of system project-specific work plans, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks can be performed concurrently. Supports activities that require specialized systems/application analysis. Prepares periodic and/or as requested status reports that quantitatively and qualitatively inform of project progress and results. Assists in system-wide software installation, modification and support. Serves as a contact for the end-users in their area of expertise. Troubleshoots application problems in a timely manner. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent and five years of related project or business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary.
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree preferred
• 3+ years related work experience in the Healthcare industry
• 3+ years of administrative and technical support
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, HL7, EDI, and NextGen Software
