Network Administrator
Currently seeking an experienced Network Administrator with excellent customer service skills and minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop and server support. Responsible for providing all-encompassing daily technical support for a Windows 2003/2008 server, and XP desktop in a 300+ user environment. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all network hardware, peripherals, applications and communication links. Additional daily responsibilities are analyzing, resolving and documenting end user computer issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Configure, build and support Windows 2003/2008 servers.
- Maintain Exchange 2003 Enterprise email environment including queue management, mailbox monitoring, store performance/maintenance and SMTP connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk tickets for various hardware, software and connectivity issues with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, fax machines and wireless PDA’s.
- Provide comprehensive end-user software support on various applications including Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007.
- Ensure all hardware is running efficiently with maximum up-time.
- Perform as aspects of Active Directory administration including user creation, printer setup, account lock-outs, password resets, etc.
- Monitor and maintain a Symantec enterprise anti-virus, anti-SPAM and anti-spyware management solution.
- Ensure Backup Exec daily data backups are completed and successful.
- Evaluate requests for hardware and software; remain current with developments in technology; research and recommend solutions.
- Actively participate in monthly Technology Committee Meetings.
- Work as part of a team to ensure corporate computing environment is functioning at 100%.

- This position requires some weekend and evening hours (remote support is provided for off hours). Must be willing to work the required hours to complete the job as needed.

Required Qualifications
- MCP (MCSE highly desired)
- 5 + years of detailed hands-on experience ordering, configuring and supporting Windows 2003 / 2008 servers.
- 5 + years of detailed hands-on experience architecting, configuring and supporting Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007.
- 5 + years experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing Windows 2000/XP desktops and laptops in a diverse working environment.
- 5 + years providing comprehensive end-user software support on Microsoft Office 2000, 2003 and 2007 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
