Contract to permanent PHP Developer needed to join a growing web development team in Tampa, FL. Position available for a motivated professional who is ready to contribute their knowledge and who enjoys working on a team.

• Absolute number one: A web developer with experience in transaction oriented web sites. This means someone who has mostly done site design, decorative JavaScript, shopping carts, and so on.

• PHP- Our client uses PHP4; PHP5 experience is good but since current version is 4, that carries a little more weight. Object Oriented experience is a plus.

• JavaScript- Client uses it extensively, both in D models and with AJAX. Forms validation is not enoughcandidate needs object oriented and D.

• UNIX- Candidate should have decent experience w/ Sun Solaris or LINUX.

• Database experience- The candidate must have good database experience, with large databases. Very good SQL knowledge is a must.

• XML- Should have some experience with XML, including using parsers and PHP functions to create XML streams.

• Version Control- Candidates should have worked in shops that use version control software.

• Team vs. solo- Our client does not have much use for someone who has primarily worked on small projects by themselves. We need people who know how to work on a team (and enjoy it).

• Apache- Client uses Apache servers; experience with them is very desirable. Also desirable: Ability to compile/configure Apache.

• Candidate is expected to “,”hand code“,”, that is, not to use a code generating tool.
